Coilover Adapter Kit

The Response Type 280ZX to 240SX (S13 only) Coilover Adapter Kit provides a solution for custom suspension geometry, offering an alternative to expensive drop spindles found in the 240SX world. This kit enables significant camber adjustment, exceeding the capabilities of many aftermarket spindles. It also allows for increased wheel backspace, making it possible to use higher offset or wider wheels while maintaining proper strut-to-wheel clearance and scrub radius. Installation requires welding to modify the body where the strut tube is cut off. Some minor dremel work or the use of a hydraulic press may be necessary for optimal adapter fitment. A retaining screw can secure the adapter for welding after drilling a 12mm or 1/2″ hole in the bottom of the strut tube. While the kit is designed for S13-specific coilovers, S14-specific front coilovers can also be adapted using an available reducing washer kit. Due to the advanced nature and wide range of adjustability, consulting with an alignment shop familiar with race car setups is recommended to establish appropriate base settings for your specific intended use.
