Coilover Kit

The Vmaxx coilover kit is a performance-oriented suspension upgrade developed to improve ride and handling for 1990-1997 Miata vehicles. The package includes four shocks and springs with front spring rates of 391 lb/in and rear rates of 258 lb/in, along with new upper mounts, bushings, and washers. A 1/2-inch shorter rear shock body provides additional compression travel, while offset rear bushings offer improved clearance between the spring and the halfshafts. These coilovers are designed to perform best at a lower-than-stock ride height, with recommended settings of 12"-12.5" in the front and 12.5"-13" in the rear. Due to their stiffer-than-stock nature, they are most effective when installed on a chassis with good bracing, such as the FM butterfly brace. Because the shocks feature a shorter body than standard components, they are not compatible with FM's rear upper mounts and require the use of factory upper mounts only. This kit is a performance setup not intended for use at high ride heights.
