The CarBahn Autoworks High-Performance Coil-Over Suspension System (CBF90-3126) is engineered to significantly enhance the handling and aesthetics of compatible BMW M5 and M8 models. This system allows for precise adjustment of both front and rear vehicle ride height, with the potential for up to 1 1/4 inches of lowering, depending on tire clearance. To further refine performance, the kit includes suspension packers to adjust bump-stop clearance and CarBahn-spec progressive bump stops for improved ride quality at lowered heights. Key benefits of this coil-over system include a substantial reduction in body roll during spirited driving. The spring rates are specifically tuned, being nearly 10% stiffer in the front and 10% stiffer in the rear compared to the factory setup. The components are machined from durable 6061-T6 aluminum, and stock upper spring mounts are utilized to ensure quiet operation. Installation requires careful attention to tire clearance due to the potential for extensive lowering and increased suspension travel; the installer must evaluate all situations to maintain safety.
