Cold Air Intake

The Roto-fab cold air intake for the 2016-2017 Chevrolet SS Sedan is engineered to increase horsepower and deliver an aggressive exhaust note. It integrates seamlessly with the stock calibration, providing excellent drivability and a throaty sound during aggressive acceleration, while maintaining a stock-like tone during normal cruising. This cold air intake features an enclosed air box design with an air entry located on the outboard side of the frame. A polymer heat shield further isolates the filter from hot engine bay air. The aluminum and polycarbonate lid hinges from the back of the air box to provide access to the dry filter, helping to maintain optimal intake temperatures. The ductwork transitions from a velocity stack section to 4.25 inches to accommodate the OEM MAF sensor, utilizing a high gloss black silicone hump hose to absorb motor rock. The inlet elbow, with nearly a 4-inch ID and a generous radius, includes a molded brass bung for the PCV hose fitting. A high gloss black silicone reducing coupler connects to the throttle body. Crucially, this cold air intake system does not fit the Camaro SS. It utilizes a dry filter, with a replacement part number of 1013-5004. The system does not require a tune and is specifically manufactured for the SS Sedan application.
