Cold Air Intake

The Roto-Fab cold air intake system is specifically engineered for the 2016-2017 Chevrolet SS Sedan, aiming to enhance performance and auditory experience. It delivers a throaty sound under hard acceleration while remaining comparable to stock during normal cruising. In testing, this Roto-Fab cold air intake demonstrated an 11 RWHP gain over the stock system in closed-hood dyno runs. To address the challenge of isolating the filter from hot engine bay air in the SS Sedan, Roto-Fab developed an enclosed air box with a lower, outboard air entry. A polymer heat shield further isolates the air box from engine heat by resting on the frame rail. The system features an aluminum and polycarbonate hinged lid for filter access, a velocity stack duct with a 4.25-inch transition for the OEM MAF sensor, and a high gloss black silicone hump hose to absorb engine movement. The inlet elbow includes a brass bung for the PCV hose fitting, and a silicone reducing coupler connects to the throttle body. Stainless steel clamps and a silicone PCV hose complete the package. This cold air intake system is explicitly stated to NOT fit the Camaro SS. The product is also not available for sale or use in California due to state regulations. The included oil filter comes pre-oiled and requires 52 grams of oil for servicing, with a replacement filter part number of 1013-5002. The elbow finish is black.
