Cold Air Intake

The Integrated Engineering IEINCW1 cold air intake system transforms the MQB Volkswagen Tiguan into a more engaging and sporty driving experience. Engineered with motorsport-inspired design features and advanced software, this intake system aims to enhance both power and sound. By upgrading to the IE Cold Air Intake, these restrictions are removed, allowing the EA888 gen 3 2.0L turbocharged engine to breathe more freely and achieve unrestricted power. The design process involved 3D scanning the engine bay to ensure a tailored fit within the available space. The intake features a full-width ram air inlet, a 5" air filter, and an integrated velocity stack. This optimized design results in a reported +16 CFM at -30IN/H20 increase in flow over stock. Construction involves an aluminum alloy heat shield that spans the front clip, utilizing high-pressure outside air channeled through the front grill directly to the air filter. This also serves to seal off hot engine bay air. The integrated velocity stack, a common feature in professional motorsport, efficiently channels airflow into the intake piping with minimal drag or turbulence. Beyond performance gains, the IE intake system unleashes the exciting turbo spool and engine sounds characteristic of the sporty Golf models, bringing those auditory sensations to the Tiguan.
