The Perrin Performance Cold Air Intake (CAI) system is specifically designed for the 2022 and newer Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 models. It aims to increase both horsepower and style under the hood. A key design feature is its proper MAF alignment and correctly sized tubing, which are critical for maintaining optimal air-fuel ratios and preventing the illumination of check engine lights that can occur with less carefully engineered competitor products. This intake system is reported to provide a gain of 7-10 WHP and a torque increase of 5-10 ft-lb. Installation may require removing the bumper and front frame support, as indicated by one user's experience, though they noted it is possible with careful maneuvering. Some users have reported minimal sound change and no immediate gains without a tune. The product comes with Perrin's Standard Limited Warranty.
