Cold Air Intake Kit

The ZZPerformance ZZ-TRAXCAI is a direct replacement for the restrictive stock airbox in the LUV/LUJ engines found in the Chevy Trax and Buick Encore. The included 5-ply silicone coupler maintains a larger inner diameter than the stock component, extending all the way to the turbo inlet. In addition to performance gains, owners can expect a noticeable increase in the audible feedback from the turbo and bypass valve, adding to the driving experience. Installation is straightforward and requires no modifications to the vehicle. The design also includes a provision for servicing the AC system without needing to remove the airbox. On a stock computer, this intake can yield approximately 12hp by leaning out the AFR and bumping boost. When used with a tuned computer, it adds an additional 5-6hp. For builds exceeding 250whp, the MAF insert can be removed to allow for greater MAF frequency range for custom tuning. The kit includes the ZZP powder-coated airbox, high-flow air filter, mandrel-bent intake tube with CNC MAF pad, silicone coupler, stainless clamps, and all necessary hardware for installation. This intake fits 2013-2022 Buick Encore 1.4L and 2015-2022 Chevrolet Trax 1.4L models. It does not fit the LE2 direct injected engine; customers needing assistance identifying their engine are advised to contact ZZPerformance customer service.
