The Spelab Air Intake Kit is engineered to enhance the performance of 1998-2002 Honda Accord models with 2.3L engines and 1997-2001 Honda Prelude models with 2.2L engines. Constructed from lightweight T-304 aluminum with a polished finish, this cold-air system is designed to draw cooler, denser air into the engine, leading to improved horsepower, torque, and throttle response. By positioning the air filter outside the engine compartment, the system ensures the coolest possible intake air temperatures. Cooler air contains more oxygen, which contributes to more powerful combustion and thus increased power output. The design also optimizes the inlet pipe's length and diameter to harmonize with the engine's resonance, facilitating maximum power gains across the entire RPM range. This cold-air intake is also noted to improve intake sound, providing an intense, deep sporty sound. The kit offers a performance boost of 7-10% in horsepower and 6-8% in torque. It is compatible with both manual and automatic transmissions for the specified Honda models. Spelab provides a 12-month warranty and a 30-day return policy for this product.
