The Unitronic Cold Air Intake System is designed as a direct bolt-on performance upgrade for the 1.4 TSI EA211 engine, engineered to optimize airflow to the turbocharger. This enhances engine performance, sharpens throttle response, and produces a more aggressive turbocharger sound, all while maintaining a clean, OEM+ integration into the engine bay. The system features a 2.75-inch (70mm) internal diameter intake tube constructed from lightweight aluminum with a durable wrinkle black powder-coated finish. It includes multi-ply reinforced and bellowed silicone couplers for smooth airflow transitions and a proprietary 3-inch high-flow cotton air filter with a radius-faced velocity stack. The included hardware consists of the aluminum intake tube and heat shield, silicone couplers and PCV hose, the proprietary air filter, and stainless steel mounting hardware and hose clamps. It carries a difficulty rating of 1 out of 5, requiring minimal tools and basic automotive understanding. This intake system is recommended for use with Unitronic Stage 1 and Stage 1+ software tuning. Fitment is specific to the VW Mk6 (2011-2014) 1.4T Hybrid and VW Mk6.5 (2015-2018) 1.4T models. Please note, this intake system does not fit the Golf equipped with the 1.4 TSI (DGXA) engine.
