The Dinan carbon fiber intake system is engineered to enhance the performance and auditory experience of your BMW 230i/330i. The system's lower box has been reworked and enlarged to accommodate a 40% larger, custom-designed free-flowing filter, increasing the filter area to 115 in² from the stock 82 in². While not directly increasing power on stock vehicles, it removes a significant restriction, enabling maximization of power potential for high-horsepower builds involving turbo and fueling upgrades. The secondary inlets also enhance the audible intake sounds, such as turbo spool and blow-off valve release. Installation is described as quick and easy, with an estimated labor time of 1 hour. This intake is compatible with the G20 330i and G42 230i models, specifically those without factory strut bracing. It is important to note that this intake is not compatible with factory or aftermarket braces; a retrofit kit (D760-0059) is available for those wishing to add braces later. The product is legal for use in all states accepting EPA's Tampering Policy, but it is not legal for sale or use in California pending CARB testing.
