The Dinan Carbon D760-0059 is a premium cold air intake system engineered to enhance the performance and sound of specific BMW models. This design outflows the factory system by at least 58%, mitigating a potential bottleneck for higher horsepower builds and improving throttle response. The enlarged airbox, 60% larger than stock, houses a custom, free-flowing filter that offers a 40% increase in filter area (from 82 sq. in. to 115 sq. in.) for optimal airflow. Beyond performance, the Dinan intake aims to enhance the driving experience by unveiling a more aggressive and sporty carbon fiber appearance under the hood. The removal of the factory intake resonator and the implementation of secondary air inlets allow for a more audible turbo spool and blow-off valve sound, a distinct departure from traditional sealed intake systems. This intake is compatible with all G2X X30i models, both with and without factory bracing. However, it is important to note that this product is not legal for sale or use in the state of California on any pollution-controlled vehicle, as per the California Air Resources Board. Testing with CARB is pending for potential 50-state legal status.
