Cold Air Intake System

The Roto-fab 1016-1072 cold air intake system is specifically designed for the 2014-2017 Chevrolet Caprice, drawing inspiration from the popular 2014-2017 Chevy SS Sedan intake. Minor modifications to the air box housing ensure a proper fit for the Caprice. Installation is straightforward, requiring only basic tools and no permanent modifications to the vehicle. The air box design effectively isolates the filter from hot engine and radiator air, contributing to lower intake temperatures. It features an enclosed design with the air entry positioned on the outboard side of the frame, coupled with a polymer heat shield that seals against the frame rail, core support, and fender. The lid, constructed from aluminum and polycarbonate, hinges at the back and secures with a self-locking screw at the front to maintain a tight seal. Duct work includes a velocity stack, a 6-inch diameter filter clamping surface, and a transition to 4.25 inches to accommodate the OEM MAF sensor. A high-gloss black silicone hump hose connects to the engine side of the MAF sensor to absorb motor movement, followed by a nearly 4-inch ID inlet elbow with a PCV hose fitting. A reducing coupler made of high-gloss black silicone connects the elbow to the throttle body. The system is completed with stainless steel hose clamps and a silicone PCV hose. This intake system does *not* fit the Camaro SS. This product is not available for sale or use in California.
