Cold Air Intake System

The ZZ Performance ZZP-3800-CAI is a cold air intake system engineered for 1998 and newer 3800 Series II and III WBody cars, specifically the Grand Prix, Regal, Intrigue, Monte Carlo, and Impala. The kit includes a custom-designed air box with a lid, a 4-inch diameter heat-shielded intake tube, and a ZZP 4-inch inlet, 9-inch cone air filter. A PCM tray is also included for proper component mounting. The included Series II version fits 1998-2003 Grand Prix, 1997+ Regal/Intrigue, and 2000+ Monte Carlo/Impala models, with or without an intercooler. Series III fitment is available for 2004+ Grand Prix, with specific considerations for intercooled setups or LQ4 MAF sensors, potentially requiring an adapter. Installation considerations include potential modifications for 1997 style PCM cores. For 1997 model year vehicles, a coolant tank from a 1999 model year is required for proper fitment of the cold air intake box. It is also important to note that this intake does not fit HBody, Bonneville, Park Ave, or LaSabre models. A tune is highly recommended for optimal performance and to ensure the mass air flow sensor and fuel trims are in sync. Digital installation instructions are available.
