This intake is designed to deliver increased horsepower and torque, with claims of up to 24 WHP and 21 lb-ft of torque. The system features heavy-duty silicone intake couplers and tube seals for durability. Installation involves removing the stock airbox, intake tube, and various sensors and connections, then fitting the new S&B airbox, intake tube, and filter. The process includes disconnecting the battery, removing the hood latch lever and air diverter, and carefully handling MAF and crankcase vent connections. Important considerations during installation include protecting the throttle body from debris and ensuring proper orientation of the MAF sensor and pad. The Quick Disconnect Adapter should not be over-tightened. Post-installation, it is critical to disable the vehicle's Air Filter Life system by navigating through the Driver Information Center options to prevent a potential Check Engine Light warning that may require a dealer reset.
