Cold Air Intake System

The Roto-Fab 1016-1025 cold air intake system is engineered to enhance the performance and sound of the 2014-2015 Chevrolet SS Sedan. This intake is designed to provide a noticeable increase in horsepower, with Roto-Fab's own testing indicating a gain of 11 RWHP over the stock system. It delivers a throaty sound under aggressive acceleration, while maintaining a stock-like sound during normal cruising. The system features a meticulously designed enclosed air box, crucial for isolating the filter from hot engine compartment air, a challenge on the SS Sedan platform. A polymer heat shield further aids in this isolation, resting on the frame rail and extending to cover entry points. The air box is topped with a hinged aluminum and polycarbonate lid for easy filter access. The ductwork includes a velocity stack, a silicone hump hose for the OEM MAF sensor, and a high-gloss black silicone reducing coupler connecting to the throttle body. The intake elbow is designed with a generous radius and includes a brass bung for the PCV hose connection. The system utilizes an oiled filter, with a specified oil requirement of 52 grams for servicing, and a replacement filter part number (1013-5002) is readily available. The elbow finish is black.
