The SPS Cold Air Intake is meticulously engineered for the Mazda MX-5 ND 2.0L, offering a compelling combination of aesthetic enhancement and performance gains. Extensive track testing has demonstrated that this cold air intake system effectively reduces intake air temperatures by approximately 15°C. This substantial reduction bridges the gap between ambient air temperature and the actual intake air temperature experienced with the original factory intake on the MX-5 ND, leading to improved engine efficiency and performance. Included in the delivery are a K&N air filter mat, silicone sheeting with a Sound Tube Delete option, a suction hose and funnel, and a heat shield, along with all necessary mounting hardware. Installation is straightforward and does not require TÜV registration due to the retention of the OEM air filter housing.
