This system is dyno-tuned to produce more torque and horsepower. It features a lightweight 6063 aluminum inlet pipe that is mandrel bent for maximum flow and a carbon-black powdercoated steel heat shield to protect the filter from engine heat and road dirt.

AEM's mechanical engineers focus on tuning the resonance properties of the inlet pipe to help deliver more air to the intake valves, and the plumbing is routed to draw air from the coolest, safest location. This system includes a steel, powdercoated heat shield to shield the filter from engine heat and road dirt. The intake utilizes AEM's DRYFLOW Synthetic filter, which is up to 99.52% efficient in fine dust testing, filters particles as small as one micron, and requires no filter oil. The inlet pipe is constructed from lightweight 6063 aluminum and is mandrel bent for maximum flow. Reinforced TIG-welded brackets and fittings ensure added durability. The kit includes a complete hardware set with soft mounts for a guaranteed perfect fit, comprehensive installation instructions, and decals. This intake system is manufactured and assembled in the USA and is guaranteed for life. It is available in a gunmetal powdercoat or mirror-polished finish. It is designed to fit 2004-2006 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon models with the 2.8L L4 F/I engine.
