Cold Air Intake System for VW/Audi 2.0T TSI Gen 1

The Unitronic Cold Air Intake System is engineered to unlock the full potential of your VW or Audi 2.0T TSI Gen 1 engine. It provides a complete Cold Air Intake solution that delivers increased power, improved air velocity, and a more responsive throttle. Simultaneously, it works to decrease intake air temperatures and reduce turbo lag for a more exhilarating driving experience. Constructed with a 3-inch 6062 aluminum mandrel-bent tubing, this intake system is both lightweight and precisely engineered for optimal fitment. It features durable, heat-resistant 4-ply silicone reducers and 5-ply silicone couplers, ensuring they won't collapse under heavy acceleration or crack over time. The aluminum components are finished with a powdercoat for a long-lasting, attractive surface. A lightweight heat shield, made from 5051 aluminum, is included to prevent hot air from reaching the air filter. The system utilizes a proprietary 3-inch dry cotton filter designed for maximum airflow while effectively preventing dust and debris from entering the engine. All hardware is made from stainless steel for rust resistance. The entire system includes the intake tube, silicone couplers, a proprietary air filter, heat shield, and mounting hardware. Installation is estimated to take approximately one hour. A critical fitment note specifies that the heat shield bracket must be bent to reach the radiator support for proper installation on Passat and Tiguan models. This intake is recommended for use with Unitronic's Stage 1, Stage 1+, Stage 2 (with 3'' Downpipe), and Stage 2+ (with K04 kit and 3'' Downpipe) software. A 2.0 TSI Gen1 DV Relocation Kit is also recommended.
