Cold Air Intake System with Heat Shield

The IE cold air intake is engineered to boost performance for Audi B9 A4, A5, and Allroad models equipped with the 2.0T engine. Its ram air design, coupled with a high-flow velocity stack and a substantial filter inlet, is optimized to deliver significant horsepower and torque gains, especially on tuned engines. Key design features include a motorsport-inspired velocity stack that efficiently channels air and acts as a secure mount for the filter, preventing rattles. IE has implemented a three-piece heat shield system. The primary shields direct cold air from the front of the vehicle to the filter, while a secondary shield guards against heat radiating from the turbocharger and exhaust. This focus on heat control helps to prevent power loss. The intake utilizes factory airbox mounts for a precise, hassle-free fit that accommodates engine movement. An optional gloss carbon fiber lid is available separately to enhance the visual appeal of the engine bay. This cold air intake is compatible with Audi A4, A5, and Allroad models from 2015 onwards (B9 chassis) with the 2.0T engine. However, it does not fit engines equipped with a MAF housing and sensor, so verification before ordering is recommended. Power testing performed on a Dynapack hub dyno indicated approximate gains of 10-20+ HP/TQ on tuned, Stage 2 B9 A4 2.0T engines.
