The PERRIN Cold Air Intake system is engineered to boost horsepower and style for your 2015-2021 Subaru WRX. It provides an estimated 10-18 wheel horsepower and 10-20 ft-lbs of torque without triggering check engine lights or other issues. It has been tested and found compatible with all COBB AccessPORT Off-The-Shelf (OTS) calibrations. However, if you are using a custom ECU calibration from a tuner, consult them for compatibility advice. Precision construction ensures proper MAF alignment and tubing size, which are vital for maintaining correct air-fuel ratios and preventing engine bogging. The system includes a heat shield to deflect hot engine air, allowing for cooler, denser air intake. The reusable open-cell foam filter captures dust and dirt effectively, offering minimal airflow restriction and excellent dust-holding capacity. A MAF sensor extension is provided with the kit, as the OEM wiring harness is too short for the new intake's position. This extension uses OEM plug ends for seamless relocation. The intake itself is powder-coated for durability and a lasting textured black finish. While nearly stock in sound during normal driving, it enhances the audible characteristics of the turbo and blow-off valve under load.
