Description

The Cometic MLS head gasket is constructed from three to five layers of stainless steel for increased strength, rebound ability, and corrosion resistance. Its outer layers are embossed and coated with Viton rubber, which is heat-resistant up to 250°C (482°F), to handle demanding sealing environments. Head gaskets prevent the mixing of gasses and oils with the cooling system and are crucial for preventing engine damage, especially when increasing horsepower.
