Comprised of multiple embossed layers of stainless steel with the outer layers utilizing a Viton rubber coating. Compressed operating thickness is 0.032". Cometic MLX (Multi-Layer Stopper) gaskets utilize an integrated stopper layer for combustion chamber sealing and improved clamp load around the cylinder without increasing bore distortion. MLX technology can be found in some head gaskets and are made from the same materials as our MLS Head Gaskets. No sealants or re-torque required.

The Cometic MLX Head Gasket Set is a premium engine gasket designed for Subaru EJ25 engines. It is constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel for increased strength, rebound, and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant fluoroelastomer, while the center layer is uncoated stainless steel.

This gasket features a locking bore seal for enhanced cylinder sealing potential and provides maximum performance for high-output engines without requiring sealants. It is ideal for mating aluminum heads to aluminum or cast iron blocks, effectively withstanding the shearing forces between different materials.
