The Cometic C5399-036 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for Gen-1 Small Block V8 Chevrolet engines with a 4.030-inch bore and a compressed thickness of 0.036 inches. It features outer layers coated with Viton rubber for heat resistance and durability.

This gasket is suitable for Brodix 12-23 Degree heads and is engineered to provide maximum sealing performance for high-output engines without the need for sealants. The MLS construction offers increased strength, resistance to corrosion, and the ability to rebound, making it ideal for applications with both aluminum and cast iron blocks.
