The Cometic Gasket C5542-188 is an intake manifold gasket set designed for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engines. It features ML Fiber material with a compressed thickness of .188 inches and rectangle ports measuring 1.240 x 2.100 inches.

This gasket set is part of Cometic's AFM (Advanced Flow Material) line, which utilizes a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core. AFM material offers temperature resistance of over 250°F, 85% recovery, and strong torque retention, eliminating the need for gasket sealers or re-torquing.
