The gasket is constructed from AFM material, a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core. This material offers a temperature resistance of over 250°F, an 85 percent recovery rate, and maintains strong torque retention. The AFM material does not require gasket sealers or re-torquing.
