The Cometic C5831-030 is a multi-layer steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed for Chrysler A-4 Midget blocks with a 4.165-inch bore. It features multiple embossed stainless steel layers for increased strength, rebound capability, and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant elastomer, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 482°F (250°C).

This gasket has a compressed operating thickness of 0.030 inches and is suitable for applications with high output engines, offering maximum sealing performance without the need for sealants. It is compatible with both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast iron block configurations, effectively handling shearing forces between dissimilar materials.
