Description

The Cometic MLS gasket is a cylinder head gasket designed for Chrysler B/RB V8 engines with a 4.380-inch bore. It is constructed from three to five layers of stainless steel for increased strength, rebound, and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are embossed and coated with Viton rubber for enhanced sealing capabilities in harsh environments.
The Viton coating provides heat resistance up to 250°C (482°F). Head gaskets are crucial components that sit between the engine block and cylinder head, preventing the intermingling of gasses, oils, and coolant. Maintaining a good condition head gasket is recommended, especially when increasing horsepower.
