The Cometic C5659-188 is a valve cover gasket designed for Ford 335 Series V8 engines, also compatible with Yates Style Heads with an 8-bolt configuration. It is constructed from ML Fiber material with a compressed thickness of .188 inches.

Cometic valve cover gaskets feature a soft durometer rubber wrapped around a steel torque-limiting frame. This construction provides superior sealing and reusability compared to traditional cork or paper gaskets, offering resistance to blowout, over-tightening, and high vacuum.
