Description

The Cometic C5960-040 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for high-output engines. It features multiple embossed layers of stainless steel with outer layers coated in Viton rubber. This gasket has a compressed operating thickness of 0.040" and a bore size of 4.100".

MLS gaskets provide maximum sealing performance and do not require sealants. They are suitable for use with both aluminum and cast iron blocks and can withstand shearing forces. The multiple stainless steel layers offer increased strength, rebound ability, and corrosion resistance.
