The Cometic C5960-051 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for high-output engines. It features multiple embossed layers of stainless steel with the outer layers coated in Viton rubber for enhanced sealing. The compressed operating thickness is 0.051 inches.

MLS gaskets are ideal for both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast iron block combinations, offering superior strength and corrosion resistance. This gasket requires no sealants for installation.
