Description

The Cometic C4350-056 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for various Ford/Cosworth Pinto DOHC engines. It features three to five layers of stainless steel for increased strength, rebound, and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are embossed and coated with Viton rubber, which is heat resistant up to 482°F (250°C).

Head gaskets are crucial components that sit between the engine block and cylinder head, preventing the mixing of gases, oils, and coolant. A failing head gasket can cause significant engine damage, and ensuring its condition is recommended when increasing horsepower.
