Description

The Cometic Gasket C5516-040 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed for Ford Windsor V8 engines. It features a 4.180-inch bore and a compressed thickness of 0.040 inches. The gasket is constructed with embossed stainless steel outer layers coated in Viton rubber, offering excellent sealing performance for high-output engines.

This gasket is ideal for applications using aluminum heads with either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as it can withstand the shearing forces between different materials. It requires no sealants and promotes an even torque load to reduce bore distortion. The gasket is sold individually and is suitable for either the left or right side of the engine.
