Description

The Cometic C5914-040 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed to provide maximum sealing performance. It is constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, with the outer layers coated in Viton rubber for heat resistance up to 250°C (482°F).

This gasket is ideal for applications with aluminum heads to aluminum blocks or aluminum heads to cast iron blocks, as it can withstand the shearing forces between these materials. The multi-layer design offers increased strength, rebound ability, and corrosion resistance. The compressed operating thickness is 0.098 inches, and the bore size is 90mm.
