Description

The Cometic C5451-051 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for high-output engines. It features a compressed operating thickness of 0.051 inches and outer layers coated with Viton rubber for enhanced sealing performance. This gasket is suitable for applications involving aluminum heads and aluminum blocks, or aluminum heads and cast iron blocks, offering increased strength, rebound ability, and corrosion resistance.

The Viton rubber coating on the outer layers provides heat resistance up to 250°C (482°F) and is engineered to meet demanding sealing environments. The center shim layer is uncoated stainless steel, allowing for adjustable thickness. Cometic products are manufactured in the United States.
