The Cometic C5764-045 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for high-output engines. It features multiple embossed layers of stainless steel with the outer layers coated in Viton rubber for enhanced sealing and resistance to harsh environments. The gasket has a compressed operating thickness of 0.045 inches and is suitable for use with aluminum heads on aluminum or cast iron blocks.

Constructed from layers of stainless steel, this gasket offers increased strength, the ability to rebound, and corrosion resistance. The Viton coating on the outer layers is heat-resistant up to 482°F (250°C) and is engineered to meet demanding sealing conditions. The center layer is uncoated stainless steel and can be varied to accommodate different thickness requirements.
