The Cometic C5764-080 is a left-hand side engine head gasket for the GM L18 Vortec 8100 Gen-VII Big Block V8 engine. It features a multi-layer steel construction with an outer Viton rubber coating and has a compressed operating thickness of 0.098 inches and a bore size of 4.280 inches.

Cometic MLS gaskets are suitable for aluminum heads to aluminum blocks or aluminum heads to cast iron blocks, capable of withstanding shearing forces between materials. The multiple stainless steel layers provide increased strength, rebound ability, and corrosion resistance. The Viton coating on the outer layers is heat resistant up to 482°F (250°C) and is designed for demanding sealing environments.
