Description

The Cometic C5318-045 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for GM LS Gen-3/4 small block V8 engines. It features embossed layers of stainless steel with an outer Viton rubber coating for enhanced sealing and heat resistance. This gasket has a compressed operating thickness of 0.045 inches and a bore size of 4.160 inches.

MLS head gaskets provide maximum sealing performance for high-output engines and do not require sealants. They are suitable for use with both aluminum and cast iron blocks, and their multi-layer construction offers increased strength, rebound ability, and corrosion resistance.
