Description

The Cometic C5489-070 is a cylinder head gasket designed for GM LS-Series engines. It features a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction with outer layers coated in Viton rubber, offering a compressed operating thickness of 0.070 inches and a 4.100-inch bore.

This gasket provides maximum sealing performance for high-output engines and does not require sealants. It is suitable for applications with both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast iron blocks, capable of withstanding shearing forces between dissimilar materials. The Viton coating is heat resistant up to 482°F (250°C).
