Description

The Cometic MLS head gasket is constructed from three to five layers of stainless steel for increased strength, rebound, and corrosion resistance. Its outer layers are embossed and coated with Viton rubber, which is heat resistant up to 482°F (250°C), designed to withstand demanding sealing environments and conditions. This gasket sits between the engine block and cylinder head, preventing the mixing of gases, oils, and the cooling system, crucial for preventing engine damage, especially when increasing horsepower. All Cometic products are made in the United States.
