Description

The Cometic C4254-040 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for high-output engines. It features outer layers coated with Viton rubber, offering heat resistance up to 482°F. This gasket has a compressed thickness of 0.040 inches and is rebuild-ready.

Constructed with multiple layers of stainless steel, this MLS gasket provides increased strength, rebound ability, and corrosion resistance. It is ideal for sealing aluminum heads to aluminum blocks, as well as aluminum heads to cast iron blocks, and can withstand the shearing forces between different materials. The gasket does not require additional sealants for installation.
