Description

The Cometic C4358-051 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket designed for high-output engines. It features multiple embossed layers of stainless steel with outer layers coated in Viton rubber for superior sealing performance. The compressed operating thickness is 0.036 inches, and it is suitable for use with aluminum heads on aluminum or cast iron blocks.

These MLS gaskets offer increased strength, rebound capability, and resistance to corrosion. The Viton coating on the outer layers is heat-resistant up to 250°C (482°F) and is engineered to withstand demanding sealing environments and surface finishes. The center shim layer is uncoated stainless steel.
