COMMERCIAL VEHICLE LEATHER SEAL

The Timken 12Y42500T is a multi-purpose seal kit designed for trailers. It features an oversized, double-walled metal outer diameter to help prevent the seal from spinning or walking out of the bore hub. The heavy-duty construction of the outer wall facilitates effective heat transfer away from the sealing lip.

This kit includes a severe service sleeve that provides a new running surface for worn or damaged axle spindles and protects the spindle during hub removal. The polymer-impregnated leather lip absorbs grit and offers protection across a broad temperature range (-65F to 170F). It outperforms nitrile seals in cold, contaminated environments and is compatible with all natural and synthetic oils and greases. The seal has an inside diameter of 4.25 inches and is made from rubber and steel.
