Description

The TIMKEN 10L40470 is a leather seal designed for heavy-duty applications. Its oversized, double-walled metal outer diameter prevents the seal from spinning or walking out of the bore hub, while the heavy-duty construction of the outer wall facilitates effective heat transfer away from the sealing lip.

The seal features a polymer-impregnated leather lip that absorbs grit and offers protection across a broad temperature range of -65F to 170F (-55C to 77C). It outperforms nitrile seals in cold, contaminated environments and is compatible with all natural and synthetic oils and greases.
