The Comp Cams 201-306-17 is a Stage 3 HRT Hydraulic Roller Camshaft, primarily designed for street and street/strip applications. It is engineered to deliver significant gains in mid-range torque and high-RPM power, with an estimated increase of 105 horsepower. This camshaft features "Low Shock Technology" lobe profiles, which contribute to maximum horsepower, improved stability, enhanced durability, and reduced load loss. Installation requires disabling the MDS system, using non-MDS lifters, and custom tuning. It also necessitates a camshaft phaser limiter kit (part # 5761) or a phaser lock kit (part # 5760). For optimal performance, it is recommended for use with ported heads, stroker cranks, and other modifications. It is designed to work best with #7230 valve springs.
