The COMP Cams K11-470-8 is a hydraulic roller tappet camshaft kit designed for Chevrolet Big Block 396-454 c.i. 8 Cylinder engines from 1967-1996. It features an advertised duration of 314 degrees for both intake and exhaust, and a duration at 0.050" lift of 252 degrees for both intake and exhaust. With an intake valve lift of 0.612 inches and an exhaust valve lift of 0.612 inches, and a lobe separation of 110 degrees, this camshaft kit is engineered for a 3,500-6,500 RPM range, making it suitable for street/strip applications. This kit requires a 10.5:1+ compression ratio, a 3500+ stall converter, and a 4.10 or lower gear ratio. Additional requirements include headers, good intake, and heads, and it produces a radical idle. Will not fit 1965-1966 396 c.i. Chevrolet models with an oiling groove in the rear journal.
