The COMP Cams K23-701-9 is an Xtreme Energy 242/248 Solid Roller Camshaft Kit designed for Chrysler 383-440 cubic inch 8-cylinder engines manufactured between 1959 and 1980. This camshaft is intended for street/performance use, offering strong mid-range power and a distinctive lopey idle. Key specifications include an intake duration at 0.050 inch lift of 242 DD and an exhaust duration at 0.050 inch lift of 248 DD, with an intake valve lift of 0.570 inches and an exhaust valve lift of 0.576 inches. The lobe separation is 110 DD, and the basic operating RPM range is 2,500-6,200 R3. The camshaft is made from billet steel and features a 3-bolt gear attachment. It requires valve springs and a 3000+ RPM stall converter for optimal performance with automatic transmissions. Lifters are not included in this specific kit.
