Magnum 224/224 Hyd Flat Cam SK-Kit SBC

This kit enhances Chevrolet Small Block V8 engines (262-400 c.i.d., 1958-1998, excludes LT1) with a strong mid-range torque and smooth idle. It's suitable for street performance, light trucks (vans, pickups, 4WD), towing (350 c.i.d.), and marine use. The camshaft is 50-State legal for 1987 and earlier carbureted V8 Small Block Chevys, holding C.A.R.B. E.O. numbers D-279-3, D-279-5, and D-279-6. It provides excellent high-RPM power and includes a double roller timing chain, gears, and assembly lubricant. Valve springs, retainers, locks, valve stem seals, pushrods, rocker arms, and gaskets are not included. Optimal street performance may require a 2500+ stall converter, headers, appropriate gearing, and 9.5:1+ compression.
