Designed for retro-fit (link bar) hydraulic roller lifters, this camshaft fits 262-400 cubic inch Chevrolet Small Blocks (1958-2002). Ideal for street machines, it performs best with headers and an aftermarket intake, provides a rough idle, and has limited vacuum, requiring a 2500+ stall converter. Installation requires a thrust button, wear plate, and a suitable timing cover with these components built-in. A high-pressure/high-volume fuel pump necessitates a bronze tip pump pushrod. Aftermarket valve springs are also required. Optimized for Melanized or Nitrided distributor gears. Incompatible with cast or steel gears without similar surface treatments; failure to use the proper gear voids warranties/return policies. Great for street machines. Best with headers and aftermarket intake. Rough idle. Limited vacuum. 2500+ stall. COMP Cams Magnum cams have great high rpm power, are easy on valve train parts, and can be used with mild ratio rocker arms and traditional performance valve springs. They really need converter and gear changes, these like compression (9.5:1 and up), and larger magnums are a little lazy at low rpm.
