Description

The COMP Cams Magnum Muscle Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft (Part Number: 51-314-4) is designed for Pontiac 265-455ci engines produced between 1955 and 1981. This camshaft is a "Magnum Muscle" series product, specifically engineered for classic muscle car applications. It features a lift of .531"/.531" (intake/exhaust), advertised duration of 280°/280° (intake/exhaust), and a lobe separation angle of 110°. The basic operating RPM range for this camshaft is 1500-5500 RPM, with a suggested RPM range of 2500-6200. It is a hydraulic flat tappet cam style and requires valve springs. This camshaft is designed for street/strip usage and is not compatible with computer-controlled systems. It is also a replacement for specific factory Pontiac configurations, including 400c.i. (1968 RAM AIR IV, factory 366 HP; 400c.i., 1969, factory 345/370 HP) and 455c.i. (1970, factory 370 HP).
